The Light At The End Of The Tunnel

Depression and Anxiety became my close companions. They started out with me in childhood and followed me through young adulthood into maturity. Its been hard having one operating in my life without the other one being right there. These two companions have traveled many roads with me. They have attempted to keep me held back in fear for many years.

I finally realized that FEAR is false evidence appearing real! So now it doesn’t hold sway over me like a foreboding enemy. If I kept doing the same things while expecting different results, that’s the definition of insanity!

My quest to be free includes several different things. Exercise, meditation, medication and therapy as well as volunteering are helping me to regain a healthy lifestyle balance. Having the support of my family is a blessing!

Now the light at the end of the tunnel is no longer a train coming to run over me! Instead, it’s a recovery train coming to pick me up and move me to a new location on my journey. I am a Recovery Ambassador! Will you get on board with me?
